The technology of the power generation by the waste heat of the Cement kiln isrealized through the heat collection of the AQC and SP. By doing this, the heat wasexchanged with the outside media. As a consequence, qualified steam was generated tomake the steam turbine working and power is produced in the same time. With theapplication of this technology, the energy efficiency will be improved significantly andthe source consumption will be reduced incredibly. On the other hand, the cost of thecement production can be minimized in addition to lowering the temperature of the wasteair which will be released outside is environment friendly. LN2000is a modularcontrol DCS system which is based on field bus, bearing the characteristic of reasonablestructure and high reliability. This kind of system is completely appropriate for the powercontrol of the cement kiln waste heat power station.This article is mainly focused on the DCS project case of the cement kiln waste heatpower generation and completed the detailed research and development for the DCSdesign. The project was contracted by the Shandong Luneng Control engineeringcompany. In the first part is mostly about parameter, system control structure of thewaste heat power generator and waste heat boiler. There is also a brief introduction aboutthe waste heat power generation of single pressure thermal process and some applicationissue of the waste heat power generation. The second part is about system hardwarestructure, network topology and software feature of the LN2000system. And the detailedinstructions about the typical algorithm of block function and parameter configuration ofthe logic configuration software are given in this part. The last part is focused on theDCS design procedure and summarized the typical algorithm of block function andparameter configuration of the logic configuration software which included the followingsections: hardware configuration consists of engineering phase, operator phase and theprocedure phase in addition to the associated I/O interface and module configuration.And there is one point should be notified which is that the configuration of the procedurephase and module is redundant. Configuration of the software introduced the databaseconfiguration, logic configuration and operating configuration. There is a highlightedintroduction of the control logic configuration which included control of the automatic gate, volume control and protection and alarm of the turbine. Particularly, introducedAQC boiler drum water level and separator inlet flue gas temperature’s the controlprinciple and the logic of the system implementation process.
