Using information systems for logistics resources integration and logistics information management to enhance operational efficiency of company and satisfy personalized requirements of customers is the inevitable developing trend of modern logistics enterprises. Logistics companies, as a third-party logistics service provider for production and sale companies, often find it difficult to meet the various demands of customized logistics service with their information systems. W company, which is a leading domestic third-party logistics enterprise, also meets the difficulty in the process of information system planning and design. This paper firstly analyses current condition, service features, main business processes and problems of current information system of W company, taking various requirements from diverse customers into consideration, to conclude required characteristics of logistics information system to be designed. And then, SOA theory is used to build the framework of logistics information system. DSM method, which is a model of modularization theory, is chosen to be applied in the process of designing logistics information system to define, reengineer and aggregate the existing business process into basic business models according to their information connections. Information system of W company has the traits of flexibility and extensibility to meet the diversified demands of customers.
