As a current emerging technology, the internet of thing has been paid much attention by all countries in the world of science and technology along with the extensive development of the research and application. The internet of things is mainly connecting some interactive objects needed to be monitored to form a wireless sensor network, through using all kinds of terminal information collection equipment. Then constituting a huge online and offline interactive communication system combined with the internet, So as to realize network information interactive between objects and objects.Yellow River Diversion Project is a large-scale inter-basin water diversion project, which takes to the water from the water reservoir of WanJiaZhai, and supplies water to Taiyuan, Shuozhou and Datong which are energy bases, to solve the serious water shortage crisis. Due to water diversion tunnel as a specific application background, it is difficult to complete real-time monitoring and data transmission in tunnel. In this case, the advantage of wireless communication is more obvious. And a number of parameters need to be monitored, such as water-lever, water gage. It make much necessary to form a wireless network. And multiple data nodes often are in a certain range, which makes the formation of Zigbee wireless sensor network is feasible on the communication distance. So, we put forward a "wise water" concept, and design a wireless sensor network monitoring system of hydrologic based on Zigbee-GPRS.According to the composition principle and communication protocol of wireless sensor network (WSN) and the requirement analysis of the monitoring environment, we design a whole scheme of the hardware and software, and the experiment is verified and analyzed. That scheme combines the Zigbee’s characteristics of self-organizing, short distance and low power consumption and the GPRS’s advantage of remote transmission, and each of monitoring equipment is designed network terminal node through CC2530chip, so as to achieve a star topology network within a certain range. Then the collected information can be transmitted wirelessly to PC software via the Zigbee coordinator node and GPRS module. We design PC monitoring software based on VB and Access database, which realizes to real-time monitor each node online, and show the result curve through chart. Human can manually set the alarm parameters for early warning, and the collected data can be saved in database. So as to the maintenance staff calls and queries data easily.The whole design realizes modernized, networked hydrographic monitoring based on wireless sensor network, which has a certain practical significance. Through experiment analysis and verification, this system can operate steadily, and basically meet the requirements of remote monitoring of the hydrologic. The terminal equipment, internet and human are connected effectively through this system, and realize the information sharing serve of high quality.We proposed a wireless sensor network node coverage discrimination model based on the average distance of neighbor node (ADDM) in the process of work via the study of wireless sensor network communication protocol. This model can better save the energy of each node in the wireless sensor network, so as to the whole network can work relatively longer.
