Research On Schedule Management Of Pingshan County Power Communication Network Pilot Project

Schedule management has a very important position in Project Management andis always a research priorities for project management scholars. It can not onlymeasure the management level of the project, also reflect the success of the project.In addition, Schedule management decides whether the project can be completed inscheduled time and directly reflects the economic value of the project at some certainextend.As a national infrastructure construction, grid construction is major projectrelated to people’s livelihood which, at the same time, is of great economic and socialbenefits and has a significant impact on the development and social stability of region.The pilot project of power communication network is to provide necessarycommunication infrastructure to guarantee the normal operation of the power grid,which is also an essential part of building a strong and smart grid. What’s more, thepilot project of power communication network has technical features of electricconstruction and follows the principles in the management of the general projectschedule management. As a result, effective project schedule management isparticularly important.In this paper, the author first combs the theory of schedule management. Then onthe base of study on the domestic and foreign research status and methods of analysis,and taking "Pingshan county power communication network pilot project” as anexample, the author studied the schedule management on power communication gridconstruction project. Firstly, the article decomposes the fiber optic cable and wirelessprivate network part of the project so as to get the Work Breakdown Structure. Then, theauthor estimates the time needed to finish each process of the project and arrange theorder of construction according to the requirement of engineering technology. On thisbasis, the paper draws the schedule network diagram of project and gives out theschedule plan. According to the project track and control condition, the author usesthe critical path analysis method to adjust the duration and parallel constructionmethod to compress schedule and finally to optimize the project schedule. At the endof the article, it is the summary of the experiences and lessons of the implementationof the project schedule management. The research of this paper may have a referencefor the power communication network construction project in the future.
