System Design And Performance Optimization On Community Policing Management System

As the Internet industry’s prosperity and development of computer technology, theapplication based on web has been widely applied to all walks of life in order toachieve efficient office, reduce costs and improve their competitiveness. Communitypolicing management information system is a software system for Hengyang CityPublic Security Bureau, applying web technology to solve community police’s fussywork. This system set more police feature in one platform, and join the orientationdiagram, make the management of the community is more intuitive, combined withthe actual satellite map, can make the community police knew all about the generalcharacteristics of the community, to facilitate the community police work. However,with the increasing of the system using time, mass migration movements andpopulation, the part of the software system has been faced with notable performanceproblem. For example, some complex pages load slowly, the response of searchingpopulation data and police performance statistics delay too much, even no response.This problems not only reduce polices work efficiency, but also increase the workcomplexity. These situations are not good for better police work, so it is a necessaryand remarkable work to optimize the system.Firstly, this paper describes the basic function of Community PolicingManagement System (CPMS), mainly includes nine subsystems: system management,location map, population management, public security, security and social information,mass work, information release and workload statistics, then focuses on the designand development of the system. In the process of the realization of the system, we usethe iterative development model. Through the field deployment and to monitor theCPMS, we constantly improve the problems found in operation. From the systemperformance problems found in operation, we firstly analysis the problems data and find the performance bottlenecks in the system. Then we design the relatedoptimization scheme to solve the problems. The main optimization schemes are asfollow:The main performance strategies are as follows:(1) Build appropriate index and optimize searching performance of big data, bymeans of data querying plan and analyzing querying sql on population.(2) On account of the characteristics of the Police officers work in communitypolicing system, put forward the optimization method based on intelligent cachingstrategies, thus greatly improving the police officers work efficiency under theoperation of the organization’s data.(3) By analyzing the business of the statistics class reports in the system, summedup an scheme, which is according to the report data requirements, customizedspecial child result data temporary structure (general flexible statistics report scheme),to improve the efficiency of report data statistics.(4) Based on the general features of system users: tend to focus more on the firstvisit to the query results, and don’t need to see all the data often, and then furtherimprove the currently existing paging scheme, still improve the efficiency of data todemonstrate.The system has been put into operation continuously and stably for two years,which has made it very convenient for the police to handle community policing work.After a series of optimization, the function of the system has already met the needs ofthe users.
