And Implementation Of Web Services-based Data Exchange Platform On The Digital Campus

Along with the universal application of campus network, many universities have established the digital campus network, developed alone or brought in a series of application systems. Although the efficiency of different departments in school is greatly improved,"information isolated island" has resulted from no interconnection between various applied systems and disability of data sharing due to the different constructed age, developing platform, programming language and database management system. So, how to realize the data exchange and integration effectively in "information isolated island" has become an emergency business for digital campus-network construction in universities.Against these issues above, the design and implementation of Web Services-based data exchanging platform on the digital campus is adopted, which founds the data sharing centre of school by concentrating the past distributed business data. At the same time, the platform provides a lot of data interfaces which can realize the data exchanging interconnection, guarantee the consistency and availability of data based on the standardization and ensures the accurate and orderly data flow sc that the phenomenon of "information isolated island" can be ehminated effectivelyUsing background of digital campus construction as a starting point, this paper analyzes research status of the data exchanging platform on the digital campus in domestic and overseas at first, and it also briefly introduce data exchange theories and technologies including data exchange technology, B/S model and database technology. Then this paper conducts the design and implementation of the data exchange platform on the digital campus including activities of feasibility study, requirements analysis, general design, detailed design, implementation, and testing under the guidance of software engineering method. Finally, this paper gives evaluation and summary, and proposes some deficiencies in this system and the next work outlook.
