With the rapid development of information instruction at campus, more andmore application systems have been used. But these information systems have theirown features. They were set up by different system in different time, each system arelack of connection, then the information can't been shared efficiently, the applicationsare hard to integrate, the information system can't work in coordination, the dataresource can't be used synthetically, therefore, it will become "information isolationisland". It would hinder the development of the information at campus. In order toprovide better information service, to build the digital campus on a solid basis, theuniversities which have the early information building face the pressure ofinformation integration problems.The aim to set up the date exchange platform is to eliminate isolation island, tosolve the data sharing and integration problem among different application systems, tolet all data resources can be connected and transferred among different systems so thatanyone can use any devices in anytime at any places to use the resources and servicesprovided by digital campus. Therefore, the information integration sources can beachieved.In order to achieve data exchange and an integration platform, we need to build amode that can adapt rapidly to the changes of service demand in the university, andintegrate the old application systems. SOA can accelerate the service integrationamong different application systems. And Web Services is so far the better way forSOA development.The paper firstly introduces the research background and analyses the situationof campus application systems nowadays in detail; it raises the requirement of settingup the data exchange platform at digital campus; then based on the deep technologyanalysis of the application integration and data exchange platform for digital campus,the paper puts forward using Service-Oriented Architecture to achieve digital campusdata exchange platform, it shows the structure and design principle for digital campus, and advances a way by using Microsoft BizTalk to be the solution, and analyses manyaspects like the business processing, message service engine, application interfaceadapter framework, development and management tools, security services, etc. At theend of this paper, it will introduce how to use BizTalk to achieve data exchangeamong different application systems, message mapping, business processing services,etc.
