The Study On Knowledge Codification Based On Process Mining

Nowadays the study on knowledge management centralizes in the explicating of tacitknowledge, knowledge coding, knowledge sharing, knowledge expression, knowledgebase’s foundation, evaluation of knowledge management and so on. Knowledgecodification as an important branch of knowledge management is still in its infancy inforeign countries. On the other hand, knowledge coding only been mentioned just as aconception in domestic researches. As the development and extension of PAIS thought inrecent years, process mining gradually becomes the research hotspot in the field of study.Process mining is about mining valuable information and knowledge from all log files ininformation system, and analyzing case information, the dependencies between eventactivities and business activities, then establishing a process mining model. Process miningis not only a research topic in the field of process-aware systems but also becomes animportant new research topic in those fields of business process reengineering (BPR),business intelligence (BI) knowledge management (KM).This article embarks from the research focus in the above two kinds, using the methodof process mining idea and construct the model of enterprise-level knowledge codingtheory. Secondly, establish enterprise knowledge codes book through analyzing log filesand other information. Finally, construct knowledge coding system of the enterprise toimprove the management of knowledge management. The main work of this paper is asfollows:1. building the knowledge codification model based on α-algorithm process mining.This knowledge codification model is a three-layer structure. The first and second layeruses both Petri-net model and the actual business process to analyze enterprise log filesbased on α-algorithm process mining in the perspective of processing; then the third layerestablish enterprise internal knowledge codes book through using the knowledgecodification model built by the former layer and analyzing enterprise log files and otherinformation.2. This paper expounds the knowledge coding, information coding, the theory of‘field’ and other relevant theories. This article also analyzes the outside environment andmechanism of knowledge management and knowledge codification’s support to the workof knowledge coding. Then this paper analyzes the relationship among process-aware,process mining and knowledge codification, and the internal relation mechanism ofknowledge coding based on process mining. Then it proposes the theory and implementsmethod of process mining.3. This paper expounds the PAIS system and its advance nature, process miningtheory and methods, focuses on α-process mining algorithm. Then this introduces demands pretreatment method of log files based on process mining algorithm, and tries tousing ProM general mining tools to dig log files by α-algorithm process mining, thenbuilt a respond Petri net model.4. The last work is to build an knowledge codification system of a virtual corporationby α-algorithm process mining model and methods, and analyze the merit and demerit ofthis model from the experiment results.
