With the development of modern industrialization,the small size workpieceswith the pore are required to adopt the precision or ultra-precision processingtechnology, as well as its detection precision. However, how to measure the poreaccurately, conveniently and quickly in the process of processing and testing hasbecome a key technology, and the measuring accuracy is beoming more higher. Butmost domestic manufacturers also produce the pneumatic measuring instruments,which have the drawbacks of low degree of digitalization and integration, simplefunction, inconvenient operation and unintuitive display of the measured result.Therefore, the domestic measuring instrument can not meet the measurementrequirements for enterprise high efficiency production.According to the above problems, based on the analysis of the electron columnmicrometer development and research status at home and abroad, this paper comes upwith the total system design of the electron column micrometer. According to theneeds of detection, we design a electronic plug gauge with the high precision LVDT,and its circuit for signal conditioning, then we construct framework of the inductivemicrometer by the C8051F020microcontroller and three color LED/digital tubedouble display drived by CPLD. The electronic plug gauge measurement system,digital processing system and electronic display system are developed for theelectronic micrometer system. And the structure of electronic column is designed.In order to make the software structure clear, easy to maintain and modified, thesystem softwareis programmed by modular, hierarchical, and independent designthought. When designing for each module, we list the program flow chart of each task.The system software is divided into two parts, which are software for single chipmicrocomputer control system and the CPLD driver module. The former adopts KeilC51language to develop, the latter using VHDL language.Finally, the real-time display of the measured results of workpieces is completedby the system hardware and software. Comparing measured value with preset value, the results will display on the LED electronic column in different colors.In a word, we have completed the theoretical study of the hardware andsoftware, and simulated the circuits by the simulation to verify the feasibility of thedesign by comparing the simulation results and analysis, which laid a goodfoundation on the next study and manufacture.
