With the deepening of the economic globalization, a product is produced by one company becoming more and more difficult per the cost limit. Even for the widely used equipment like printers, control panel will be produced in A company, motherboards will be produced in B Company, and the whole printer will be assembled in C Company. Before shipment, ABC companies need to test their products. If A company can design a test system which can simulate the B company motherboard's action to test their products, it is very significant, because A company no need to test its products on actual printer. So A company can save hardware cost and increase the test efficiency.With the rapid development of science and technology, electronic components of electronic devices have been improving continuously. At present, the micro-controller chip and complex programmable logic devices in electronic products are widely used. It is significant if we can import these electronic components into test system design field.The thesis will introduce a test system on a photograph printer control panel which has a touch functional color TFT-LCD, basing on the SPI communication protocol. However, the idea and concrete software modules and hardware modules in this system can be transferred to other test systems which is basing on SPI communication protocol.Several items will be introduced in the thesis as below.1. According to the control panel test requirement establishes the hardware and software structure of the test system.2. The hardware interface and driver design between LCM (LCD Module) and PIC18F4550 MCU.3. The hardware interface design from XC9572XL CPLD to PIC MCU and Flash Memory, CPLD driver program design basing on VHDL.4. Test system communication protocol and command set design basing on the SPI communication protocol.By testing, the system has characters of easy operation, high stability and reliability.
