Measurement protect the quality of production, with the development of industrialproduction technology, the requirement of precision measurement technology has alsoincrease. Because of the advantage of simple structure, measurement stable, highmeasurement accuracy, inductance micrometer has been widely applied in industrialproduction. Its development has become a hot research field of precision measurement.Inductance micrometer consists of inductive probe, signal acquisition andprocessing system and display system, improvement design of the signal conditioningcircuit gradually become the main way to improve the accuracy of the sensor. Althoughthe signal conditioning circuit can be improved to improve the resolution of the sensor,the measurement accuracy can be improved by increasing the sampling rate and theimprovement of data processing algorithms. But it does not improve the uniformity ofmagnetic field of sensors, the output value is still exists nonlinearity error. Therefore,influencing factors to the sensor output characteristics has obtained in this research, andthen, refinement research has been used to design the improved inductive sensors.Improved inductive sensors improve the uniformity of the working range of themagnetic field, and improve the measurement accuracy. The main contents include:(1) Inductive sensor measuring principle analysis. According to Biot-Savart Law,the relationship information between inductive sensor coil inductance and coredisplacements has been deduced. Combined with the measurement circuit of theinductive sensor, the Influence factors of inductive sensor output characteristics hasbeen analyzed. The influence of inductive sensors are installed and processing errorsfor inductive sensor output characteristics has also been analyzed.(2) Simulation Research of inductive sensor measurement performance. Therelationship information between inductive sensor output characteristics with inductivesensor coil and core parameters was obtained by Ansoft finite element software. Andthen, by processing the data of the relationship to optimize inductive sensors.(3) Improve the solenoid coil. A design method of solenoid coil was put forwardbased on theory of Helmholtz coils, to improve the uniformity of the axial magneticfield of solenoid coil. For the design of the stepped solenoid coil, a winding methodwas proposed to make the stepped solenoid coil.(4) Experimental research. Comparison test was performed to test the detection performance between improved solenoid coil and the original solenoid coil. The testresults show that, inductive probe measurement stable and reliable, measurementresults reproducible. Improved solenoid coil compared to the original solenoid coil,improve linearity in100μm and500measurement range.
