Flatness error is an important geometric error of AC contactor core andit’s one of the important parameters of contactors product quality. Currently, theflatness measurement of AC Contactor was mostly based on off-line detection modein plane factory. The small and medium-sized enterprise daily output over2000,sampling methods will be used because of too large workload, and then theundetected cases may occur. There have many flatness detection instruments cansatisfy the requirement of precision, but they aren’t suitable for the measurement ofseparating plane or can’t realize dynamic measurement.Based on this fact, this thesis developed three different dynamic measuringdevices with the combination of the serial communication technology and laserdisplacement sensor technology, which was using the mode of multiple laserdisplacement sensors measurement side by side, moreover developed a set ofcorresponding measurement software system, and the flatness of work-piece on bothends was used genetic algorithm and least squares method to evaluate. Finally, theresults comparison of the testing instrument and three coordinate measuringmachines indicates the measurement accuracy meets the need of the factory.It established a mathematical model of flatness error, which was based on themicroscopic theory of surface. Meanwhile analyzed the laser displacement sensormeasuring principle and serial communication technology, and also designed threedifferent dynamic measurement programs according to the characteristic of ACcontactor core.Through the dynamic testing of the sliding rail and standard parts, it studied anddemonstrated the data processing method of dynamic testing and the calibrationprinciple of sensor. Through the measurement of different types of AC contactorsiron core, it summarized the methods to select the key segment of data acquisitionand the key points of measurement.Developed a set of software system that is applicable to AC contactor iron coreonline flatness measurement, and its main functions include: user management, serial communication, data acquisition and real-time display, data processing, reportprinting etc.Accuracy and repeatability of the dynamic test of the sliding guide is analyzedto prove the feasibility of the test; the results comparison of the testing instrumentand three coordinate measuring machine confirmed the measurement accuracy meetsthe requirements of the factory; Through comparing different testing to the samework pieces with three different measurement devices, it proved that the sensortranslational motion has higher precision; Through comparing the flatness testingresults of the same kind work pieces, it can discriminate the unqualified products.
