Guangxi Unicom GSM/WCDMA Network Performance Optimization Methods And Their Applications

With the mobile communications technology continues to evolve, users want operators can provide high-quality of the mobile communication service at anytime,anywhere. To provide a high quality mobile communication network, it must dependent upon the efficient wireless network optimization capability as the support. The Wireless network optimization is mainly aimed at the mobile communication network has been put into operation, to find out the existing problems by traffic data analysis, field data acquisition, wireless parameter analysis, hardware checks and other means to identify the impact of network quality of service reasons, and then through the effective means of network optimization to improve the utilization of network resources to obtain maximum economic benefits.This thesis first introduces the structure and principle of the GSM system and WCDMA system, especially the use of the main technologies and the connections between them, and then analyse the GSM and WCDMA network structures adopted by Guangxi Unicom, at the same time the important indicators of wireless network optimization are introduced. Then, analyze the wireless network quality problems encountered by Guangxi Unicom when it provide the different service requirements in different regions in Guangxi province, and propose the corresponding wireless network optimization schemes and put them into practice. The main work includes:Guangxi Unicom WCDMA base station coverage network between urban and rural areas promotion methods, City building area WCDMA network coverage optimization control, Guangxi unicorn’s GSM/WCDMA network interoperability optimization examples. Finally, evaluates and summarizes of the success and insufficiency of the wireless network optimization work in Guangxi Unicom, and predicts the future prospects of the development of mobile network optimization.
