WCDMA support multiple services. In some condition of QOS, it can supply good network capacity and meet certain radio coverage requirement. According to adjust the relationship of capacity, coverage and quality, it Provide the best services. The WCDMA network mainly raises Network performance and meets the needs of subscribers. Also, it must introduce new competitive services on the basis of increasing capacity in the future. With the increasing construction of city and buildings, radio environment has become increasingly more complicated, WCDMA Network must consider more factors when making network optimization. The work of fine optimization, which can enhances the capacity of coverage, need to optimize the hot area, the main road of city and the branch of the road. At the same time, according to excavate quota of KPI deeply, it can solve the problem of resource, load and traffic statistics which impact the quota of network in the long term.This paper consists of5chapters and17sections. Firstly, it introduces the technology of WCDMA network and mainly explains the importance and target of the fine optimization. Secondly, it mainly introduces the theory of WCDMA optimization. According to analyze the theory, it can exactly locate and analyze quota of traffic statistics and problems of network. Thirdly, it describes the quality assessment system of WCDMA network, which can makes us understand the component of quality assessment system. Fourthly, according to examples of WCDMA network, it analyzes the method of fine optimization. Finally, it explains the news of WCDMA. Along with the increasing of users, the increasing of voice and the increasing of data traffic, WCDMA will evolve to LTE. For the reason of LTE license, LTE can not be used recently. WCDMA can use multi-carrier for HSPA, which used in R7for just5MHZ, but used in R8for double5MHZ (DC-HSDPA). In R9, the double5MHZ will be used in HSUPA. MIMO will also be used in R9which can work with HSDPA together. In R1O, WCDMA can use3or4carriers for downlink. With the technology of MIMO, WCDMA can reach the max rate for168Mbit/s. in the future, the multi-carrier HSPA will be the most important method for solving the throughput of mobile data before LTE.
