Volunteer service is based on social responsibility and obligation, volunteer your time,energy, skill, participation in social service free activities.In recent years, with thedevelopment of social civilization, the volunteer service has aroused people’s attention,libraries have to recruit all kinds of volunteers to participate in related services.PracticeResearch on related theories, the volunteer management of public library has just started,specialized theory research and practice, it is urgent to carry out such studies, therefore, thecurrent research accord with the development demand, has the practical significance.In this paper, the public library in northeast area as an example, in-depth understandingof management current situation of volunteer public library in Northeast China, the integrateduse of literature, interview and questionnaire methods to collect a series of volunteer publiclibrary in Northeast China to carry out service activities, the investigation and data statisticalanalysis, combined with the volunteer management theory, put forward strong solutions,provide useful guidance for the public library volunteer management in Northeast china.This paper mainly includes the following six aspects:The first chapter is the introduction, proposes the research background and significance,review of research status at home and abroad, the main research content, framework, researchmethods.The second chapter is the theory of volunteer management, definition and theoreticalexplanation of the concepts related to this paper.The third chapter is the investigation and analysis of the practice of volunteermanagement of Public Library in Northeast china. Making use of the method of networksurvey and case, the basic situation of volunteer activities of public library collection inNortheast China, taking Liaoning Province Library as an example, analyzes the managementsituation. And then summarize the existing problems in the management of.The fourth chapter is the analysis of intention and asked the public to participate involunteer service survey. Taking the library of potential volunteers and volunteers into tworesearch groups, through questionnaire survey and in-depth interview method, from thevolunteers, willingness to participate and influence factors, management system and demandanalysis, summarizes the research conclusion.The fifth chapter is the Public Library Volunteer Management Countermeasures inNortheast china.
