Along with the network access technology development as well as other countriesworldwide on the "copper back into the light" to promote, GPON technology isbecoming increasingly operator attention. GPON technology is the new generationbroadband passive ITU G.984.x and G.988standard optical integrated access standardbased on. Because of its high bandwidth, high efficiency, large coverage, rich userinterface and many other advantages, so it is most of the operators considered toachieve broadband access network services, the ideal technology of transformation. The paper first discusses the development of the information system and the maintechnology, analysis the basic characteristics of GPON technology and discussed andthe G.984.4protocol, finally determine the system design using modular design forfoundation design scheme. Then through the specific needs and characteristics of each module, to build up themodel of the system, the software system is divided into OMCI Core, ME Database,PMHD, EIM, and CLI user control interface function module, the softwareengineering and object-oriented technology as a tool, has carried on the design andimplementation of analysis, each function the requirements of the module. Finally, the black box testing method, the system each function module are tested, the test results show that the implementation of the OMCI protocol stack to achieve therequirements of the various functions, to further promote and optimize the GPONnetwork deployment of the effect can be deployed.
