Currently, G Group’s diversified business includes those eight newspapers, three journals, three web sites,14companies and a factory. Now G Group has formed a diversified business systems preliminary, involving journalism, publishing, advertising, printing, Internet, logistics, commerce, art auctions and so on. G Group has a wider social impact and brand in Guangxi.In recent years, with the development of society, new media and other industries spring up, G Group’s traditional business-newspapers has suffered tremendously, which requires G Group challenges to diversify strategic repositioning under the new environment. G Group needs to play a traditional strengths, based on the expansion of the newspaper industry chain, expanding wider multi-channel, quickly make a difference in the field of new media, so that to maintain the growth momentum in the new competitive environment.Firstly, the paper has analyzed of the current market environment, the domestic and foreign diversification strategy’s background, and then presents the content and methods of research. Secondly, the paper has systematically analyzed the G Group’s business development, G Group’s business competitiveness, resource strategy matching degree positioning and diversified business development ideas.These work are helpful for G group to choose diversification strategy.In addition, on the strategic spatial layout, the paper is also faced by the Group under the G external opportunities for the G group proposed a " southward advance ASEAN, North map national" development strategy; implementation of the diversification strategy, this paper has analyzed he Group G through the backdoor listing and financing, changes in the economy weaker disadvantage operability.In this paper, combined with the theory of diversified development strategy, G Group works as a case study and provides a clearer context for the implementation of Group G diversification strategy. Although the Group’s case is only a single case, but it also represents the situation facing with many domestic media group situations, so the G Group diversification strategy analysis, but also for other media group to provide a reference, the development of the whole industry can provide some useful thinking.
