Medium-voltage distribution network carrier (MPLC) data communication using the existing power line,it is an efficient method for industrial applications using in monitoring and control of intelligent distribution network, also provides a great convenience for the remote data acquisition and communication system.PLC can be used for Smart Grid Applications,such as distribution network monitoring terminal, micro-grid control, plug-in electric vehicles. This paper based on learning the carrier communication technology development process and engineering case, selects PRIME relay, OFDM modulation of DSP to design the carrier network nodes.According to automatic relay requirements of power line carrier network, inorder to adverse effects of high interference effectively in power line commu-nication, this paper designs the carrier nodes plan to meet the need of project. Firstly,paper introduces the architecture of PRIME, focusing on process of the relay and OFDM simulation, and then select the TI company’s DSP chip TMS320F28069to design and test network carrier nodes.TMS320F28069is to realize PRIME relay in hardware.its internal resources, through the software library OFDM modulation circuit,integrated media channel controller (MAC), which can facilitate the realization of the peripheral circuit design easily. In this paper, the main chip was studied and the key circuit is designed. The hardware includes the main controller selection and design,interface circuit design, the power circuit design and the coupling circuit design;software is part of the overall program design idea carrier nodes, and the TI PLC development board as the experimental platform, research on PRIME protocol flashing firmware process, and the carrier communication program for the associated configuration and test. At the end of paper, the paper prospects the carrier automatic network technology used in the micro-grid control system.
