As a worldwide distribution network, medium-voltage power line can be used in data communication. Therefore it is a focus subject in the world. Among the several methods of remote power line communication, the power line carrier communication is the most hopeful one. But because of the disadvantages of noise, attenuation and rapid impedance changing, it will greatly affect the reliability of communication. So how to solve the problems and improve the stability and anti-disturbance becomes the key point of the realization of power line carrier communication.According to the research of the medium-voltage power line transmission characteristics and frequency-domain modeling of Bottom up mode that is to accquire characteristic parameters by theoretical calculation, the characteristic modeling of medium-voltage power line is established, and the suitable parameters which can restrain the signal attenuation is gained. It is proved that the modeling is correct according to the experiment.Then analyze typical noises of the network based on bispectrum, get the wave characteristics according to bi-coherence function, and carry on the clustering analysis based on self-organizing feature mapping, so it realizes the clustering identification of the typical noises of medium-voltage power line. It can be a reference of restraining noises of medium-voltage power line.According to the theoretical parameters and analysis of clustering identification of noises, and based on the theory of spread frequency communication and BPSK, the remote reading meter system through medium-voltage power line is realized. The system can resolve the noise and impedance on the power line and obviously improve the abilities of anti-disturbance and successful rate of communication. At the same time, the software realy method and arithmetic is also introduced to settle the problem of attenuation and increase the distance of carrier communication, it can satisfy the need of remote reading meter system.The hardware of communication between master and slaves is mainly designed in this paper.
