Power line communication has been widely used in smart grid with the characteristics of economy,practicality,easy deployment and wide coverage.With the development of smart grid,power line communication has become a hot issue in the field of communication.However,there exist some defects in power line communication,such as high attenuation and strong interference,which influence the reliability of communication system seriously.In addition,wireless and power line communication sensors can not communicate with each other within a hybrid network.To solve these problems,the reseach conducted in this thesis are as follows:(1)Aiming at the problem of high attenuation and strong interference,diversity combining technology and Middleton Class A noise model are applied in power line channel modeling.Channel capacities are analyzed.The simulation results show that the intensity of impulsive noise and the number of sub channels are correlated with the channel capacity.(2)In order to improve the performances of power line communication system,selective relaying technology is introduced in the system.Average capacity,outage probability and bit error rate of the power line communication system are derived by Hermite polynomial and Taylor series.The simulation results show that selective relaying technology can improve the performances of power line communication system effectively.(3)A power line-wireless dual interface relay is proposed to connect both power line and wireless sensors in the hybrid network.Average capacity,outage probability and average bit error rate of the hybrid network are derived.The simulation results show that the power line-wireless dual interface relay can realize the inter working of heterogeneous networks and improve its performance.Eventually,summarizes and existing deficiencies are pointed out.In addition,the prospect of further research is discussed.
