As an important assisting facility for teachingand research, the library is gaining in popularity among universitystudents, where they can enrich their knowledge, broaden their outlookand enhance themselves, thus making the library“the second classroomeducation†beyond the university classroom. Viewing from the practical angle,the function of the library should not be ignored but be regarded as thebreakthrough point of the moral education while upholding the college moraleducation. Located in the border nationalities area, high schools inYunnan province should pay highly attention to the moral educationalfunction of the library and utilize it effectively to improve themoral standard of college students.This essay introduces the implication of the moral educationfirst, and then its development and historical evolution, and rulesand regulations of the university library moral function according tothe relative rules and laws.
