Research On Strengthen Moral Education Of The University Library

University library is not only an information center, but also it is an important base to improve the overall quality of students for moral cultivation. University library is not only a place for providing research services, but also playing an important role in helping students to establish a correct world outlook on values. Because university library is the second class for students, students are unconsciously influenced by the rich cultural atmosphere through reading literature in art, history, sociology, philosophy, economics and natural science books, etc. In addition, students can get the spiritual experience of rational thinking during the dialogue with wisdoms in literatures. These effects cannot be obtained with the traditional sublimation or indoctrination education. However, in the emphasis on system education environment, implementation of library moral education is often overlooked.In order to understand the function of the university library moral status, and explore situation and characteristics of contemporary university students'use of library, this paper employs questionnaire investigation and takes Dalian University of Technology library as a research project. This paper investigates the role of the academic library in the moral education, as well as the educational content trough the analysis of the current students reading tendency, ethical conduct in library, and use of library resources. It also discusses the challenge of moral educations faced by the university library and puts forward the recommendations.
