Study On The Current Situation Of The Country TV Stations In Jiang Su Province

It has been about50years for the development of China’s TV industry. In the recent10years, territorial channels increased several times faster than satellite television channels,so the audience rating of the country station is impacted. However, country stations are fullof local colors. So it’s reasonable and necessary to exist in current Chinese media field.Country TV stations are the basic media organization. They play the role as themouthpiece of the party committees and governments at all levels. But, bound by thefactors such as the history and tradition, financial capabilities, inherent management style,the country TV stations are hard to survive and develop. In this condition, the country TVstations could find its way only to withstand pressure, try to play its advantage well anduse its unique resource for reformation and development.We take Zhang Jiagang TV station, Tai Xing TV station and Shu Yang TV station asobjects of study to contrastive analysis their operation and the current situation of theirprograms. The author think that there are many kinds of programs in country TV stations,and among them the documentary programs shows obvious features and implementeffective strategy of localization. The author also finds some problems in the TVprogram production, for example, some programs are inaccurate in orientation, the depthof planning is not enough, the quality of the picture is not high and the narrative ability isweak. The deep-seated reason is the system defect of the function of organization. So thecountry TV stations should analysis the reason for the lack of the programs from concepts,institution and mechanism. At last, the paper presents some suggestions for the programinnovation to help the country TV station get transformation and upgrading.
