This thesis gives some details about the principles and key technologies of pulse-diode laser radar ranging, and the thesis describes the parts of the radar system in details. During the design of the system, we find receiving circuit is the key part of the system, the performance of this system directly determines the precision of the system, the receiving circuit contains:a photoelectric conversion circuit, amplifier circuit, time discrimination circuit.Second, the part of echo signal receiving circuit choose the trans-impedance amplifier OPA657as our preamplifier circuit which has low noise and wide dynamic range characteristics. AD8009used to design our main amplifier circuit. This thesis gives the noise and bandwidth analysis for each parts of the system and compared with our testing results. In addition to these, we choose the chip TDC-GP21as our time internal measurement circuit.Third, my thesis gives the advantages and disadvantages of several commonly timing discriminate circuit in details. On the other hand, we propose a circuit for decreasing the time error caused by the echo signal amplitude changes, and design a device for laser ranging to eliminate the fixed delay of electronic componentLast, we completed a prototype of high-precision semiconductor pulsed laser diode radar ranging system, and the testing is in line with our requirements.
