With the rapid development of semiconductor lasers, research of semiconductor lasers driver also made great progress and achieved great results. But the research and investment of semiconductor lasers driver in our country is behind that in the other developed countries.This article is mainly meant to study narrow pulse semiconductor lasers driver and control of laser temperature. Based on the characteristics of semiconductor lasers, a mathematical model of laser-driven is made. After a comparative analysis of several laser-driven circuit design methods, I designed and completed a semiconductor laser driver circuit. The circuit through the CPLD the pulse signal amplification to the plastic tube driven MOSFET, After LD discharge circuit to stimulate high-performance semiconductor lasers.Specifically the work done as follows:1) analyzed optical power characteristics of the narrow pulse laser current, in-depth studied difficulties of designing pulse laser driver circuit, and comparison of the existing common drive circuit design several advantages and disadvantages.2) from the pulse, Pulse shaping power amplifier and LD discharge circuit of this three-part circuit design, Through the CPLD programming to achieve pulse, but also realized the right input frequency adjustable, Based on semiconductor laser pulse width of the narrow and the current use of the features as the LD MOSFET discharge circuit switch, After plastic surgery to enlarge the pulse signal to drive the MOSFET, thereby realizing the laser excitation.3) the circuit debugging system. Design related to the power converter circuit, the actual analysis of experimental measured waveform, calculate the actual laser diode current and pulse width. Analysis of the circuit capacitance and inductance of the circuit, and so on, and through the territory of PCB design reduce these effects.4) analysis of temperature on semiconductor laser output wavelength and output power, two-way design temperature control circuit, Lasers work to achieve the precise temperature control.Ultimate success of the design to meet the requirements of the drive circuit, the minimum pulse width of up to 10 ns, current can reach 40 A, two-way temperature control circuit is also working to achieve the laser precision temperature control.
