The credibility of the simulation model is the most important ind ex to assessthe performance of the simulation model, which determines whether the model isavailable. VV&A activities are the guarantee of the model with high credibility,validation is a core part of VV&A, which can ensure the validity of the simulationmodel.Data consistency analysis validate the model by comparing the similarity ofbehavioral characteristics between the simulation model and the real system orhypothetical system. The credibility of the simulation model is a comprehensiveindex, which means data consistency analysis result of simulation model’ singlebehavior can not reflect the simulation model credibility comprehensive ly.Furthermore, the description of different data consistency analys is results are notunified, it is necessary to convert data consistency analysis results of differentmodel behaviors to credibility. And credibility of the simulation model can becalculated after index comprehensive.This paper focuses on the transformation method from data consistencyanalysis results to the credibility and following studies were carried out. Firstly, thecomplete model validation process was described and the work required for eachprocess were discussed; How to select indexes to establish validation index systemwere thoroughly researched. Besides, principles to determine analytical methodswere proposed.Secondly, based on the analysis of the credibility measurement, acredibility-distance model was proposed and analyzes its rationality. Fortime-domain methods, using the credibility-distance model, the result of TIC andGray Relational Analysis were converted to credibility; For frequency-domainmethods, transformation method from window spectrum estimation and MaximumEntropy Spectral Estimation result to credibility was discussed. use of normalweight function.Thirdly, model validation process involves lots of data analysis and processmanagement. In order to improve the validation efficiency and reduce VV&A costs,it is necessary to design a complete model validation assistant tool. For the problemsof model validation assistant tool, modular method in Software Engineering wasintroduced into the design. A layered architecture of the model validation assistanttool was discussed. The design of functional structure was focused to improve theindependence of module and weaken the relevance.Finally, take guidance and control simulation model for example, modelvalidation index system was established, the tranformation method from data consistency analysis results to credibility was applied to validate the index. In thisprocess, model validation assistant tool was used to aid the validation work.
