With the devolopment of simulation technology, simulation credibility has paidmore and more attention. A simulation model has the risk of being abused andmisused without evaluation. The credibility evaluation ensure that the simulationmodel make effictive decisions in the purpose of special application, which isjugded by cridibility personnel according to the result of VV&A(VerificationValidation and Affirm). As a important part of the VV&A, the model validation is totest and evaluate whether the simulation model of the actual system is correctlyestablished, which is essential for M&S and VV&A. With an idea of research fromtheorectical exploration to validation methods and the final design and applicationof tool, the paper is carried out from the following three aspects:Firstly, the theory of simulation model validation has been studied and theprinciple, advantages and disadvantages, the applicable range of classical time andfrequency domain analysis methods on validation are introduced in detail. Thecontents stated above provide a theoretical guidance for model validation personnel.Secondly, the paper presents a method of simulation model validation based onthe wavelet transform and the evidence synthesis in view of the case that the outputof the model are non-stationary random time series. The principle and validationprocess of the method is detailly introduced. It overcomes the drawbacks ofprevious methods that the signal must been converted to stationary signal which leadto information loss. The method decomposes the non-stationary random series bywavelet transform and the decomposed parts are validated respectively and finallythe result of respective validation are synthesized by envidence synthesis. It is avalid method to analyze non-stationary random series.Finally, in order to improve the efficiency and reduce the risk of validationwork and save the manpower. a validation tool is designed and realized andinstances are validated by the analysis method according to the tool through theanalysis of the demand for model validation.In conclusion, a validation method is presented for non-stationary on the basisof mastering the theory of model validation and the existing classical modelvalidation methods. The validation model tool is designed and realized and modelvalidation instances is applied using the methods by the tool.This paper provides atheoretical research and tool support for the model validation work.
