By now the rapid development of computer graphics technology provides a solidtechnical foundation for the emergence of virtual simulation technology products. In recentyears,3D virtual simulation of dynamic marine environment as one of the key technologiesin the field of computer simulation which is receiving more and more attention. The virtualsimulation of the marine environment is of great significance, important theoreticalsignificance and practical value not only in the technical field of computer graphics, but alsoin other fileds such as conventional fluid dynamics, wave dynamics, marine transport tation,resource exploration and development and military training and so on.The marine environment is very complex and irregular in both time and space, so itsnumerical simulation is a complex process.This paper makes a deep study on the relatedapplication of texture mapping technology,wave spectrum and fractal theory in the researchof the simulation technology of marine environment. Based on the analysis of the domesticand international research status of the virtual ocean environment, this paper’s main task isto study the application of random wave theory and fractal theory in the research ofsimulation technology in the marine environment. On the platform of PC, using threedimensional computer visualization (3D Visualization) and virtual reality technology, beginour research on3D dynamic real-time generation technology on the sea view. Combining therequest of realistic, real-time and human-computer interaction, flexibly using Visual C++and OpenGL into mix programming to achieve the simulation of3D sea scene whichconsists of sea, terrain, sky, ships, aircrafts and other moving target, and can be stuckedunder the free viewpoints. Through the keyboard and mouse response function, not onlycontrol the movement and rotation of the whole scene but also the position and trajectory ofthe moving object in scene.The final simulation results show that, the simulation software can real-time, realisticallysimulated sea view, which has devised a user-friendly software interface to more fluidlycontrol move targert’s motions, easy to operate and real-time interaction. The paper has greatstudy value and application prospect in many application fields.
