With the improvement of technology, people propose more and more demands forhome-living quality, and smart home system enters people’s lives. Due to the emergence ofthe Internet of things technology in recent years, smart home system has been undertaken aspeedy development.Remote Monitoring need to transfer large amounts of control messages, instant ofmessage become a very important reference index. XMPP protocol is based on Xml stream..Due to its characteristics of openness, timeliness, scalability, etc., XMPP is established asinstant messaging system communication standard protocol by the IETF.Because of its huge information and higher bandwidth requirement, video data must becompressed for transmission in wireless net work. H.264video compression standardcompared with other standards, uses more advanced technology to provide highcompression ratio and ensure coding quality simultaneously. This article will combine XMPP protocol, H.264technology, and Z-Wave wirelesssensor network technology to build a smart home system with remote monitoring, andrealize P2P transmission based the XMPP framework. The whole system consists ofequipment, client and Openfire server. In the system, Message transmission adopts Xmlstreams, video data transmits in P2P channel constructed by both parties. This paper adoptshybrid P2P network which uses Openfire server as the central node, to exchange message, uses STUN NAT Traversal way to build P2P channel. Equipment captures video data andsends to the client by the P2P channel, then the client calls FFmpeg to decode and play.System messages include basic XMPP session message, the video stream control message, the sensor control messages and the sensor status messages, are forwarded by the Openfireserver according to the message body JID.This article used GM8126network camera as the hardware platform, the client-side ascontrol site maked by Qt. The test shows that the system is stable, the sensor control hasgood real-time performance, the video is clear with small delay. All parts have achieved theexpected design requirements.
