In recent years, with the development of digital medical devices, medical level isbecoming higher and higher in our country. But most of these digital medical devices are onthe base of PC architecture, high cost and large volume. In view of this situation, this articlewill describe a tumor recognition system based on Android which combines embeddedtechnology, digital image processing and pattern recognition techniques according to the studyof morphological characteristics of tumor cells. Moreover, it has low-cost, low-power, andeasy-to-handle, easy-to-port and will be convenient for primary health care institutions.The main contributions of the article may be summarized as follows:Firstly, on accordance with the design requirement for embedded system, this articleproposes a whole design project based on the research of related field and system feature.Each partial module design is completed as well.Secondly, the underlying software system is constructed based on S5PV210platform ofembedded devices for the design requirement and transports Bootloader. Because of theopenness and transplant, the Android kernel system is transported to this embedded deviceand file system is also built.Then, the Android graphics library is used to complete UI development according toapplications architecture on Android platform and functional requirements of recognitionsystem. For the use of OpenCV in Android development, OpenCV library is also linked.Finally, one effective and feasible tumor recognition algorithm which can help doctors todiagnose is designed to deal with difficulty and complexity of tumors recognition, harddistinction with the naked eye. The algorithm is transported to this embedded device platformto realize image recognition of tumor cells.The experiments showed that tumor recognition system which based on Android runswell. It can get recognition results rapidly due to the modified image processing algorithmtransporting to the embedded system. It will help doctors to make initial judgment and hascertain reference significance in the development of embedded medical devices.
