Design And Implementaion Of An Intelligent Building Integration Communication System

The Building Integration Communication System (BICS) is a component of theIntelligent Building Management System (IBMS). The building communication protocols inthe BICS today are incompatible which causes great difficulties in data integration and alsoincreases the complexity of the BICS. On the other hand, the existing protocols can’t meet allthe requirements of the BICS. Only a few of the protocols today can work outside the LocalArea Network (LAN), and if they could be used for data transmission over the Internet, thedexterity of the data integration will be improved greatly.Among the building communication protocols today, the BACnet/IP protocol, whichused for building control and can also implement the multifaceted control, is a datacommunication protocol made for the building automation control system. And The OPC UAprotocol can implement the data transmission over the Internet. So the Subject design in thispaper will implement a building integration communication system combined the BACnet/IPprotocol and the OPC UA protocol in which the BACnet/IP protocol meets the needs ofmultifaceted management of the BICS, and then convert he BACnet/IP protocol into the OPCUA protocol so as to make data transmit over the Internet.This subject design draws the following conclusions and results through the research andpractice:Analysis the interconnectedness of the BACnet/IP protocol and the OPC UA protocol,and implement data mapping in application layer of the two communication protocol.Propose and design a framework of a building integrated communications system whichhas communication controller and integrated communications layer. It supports flexibleconfiguration and is applied to the multi-level management of the building managementsystem.Utilize the Embedded technology to design and implement a communication controlleron the BACnet/IP protocol, and realize current data collection and signal control.Design and implement a integrated communications layer which can convert he BACnet/IP protocol into the OPC UA protocol, and realize data collection of thecommunication controller and the current signal control, and can data access the integrationcommunication layer through the LAN or the Internet.
