This subject researched the construction of slide blocks in GuangDong metal formingmachine works Co.,LTD.Using the technologies of parameterzation design,the seconddevelopment of UG and database,researched the development of part family system.Thissystem helped the enterprise to design and exploitate new product,shortened developmentperiod,improved the production efficiency effectively.The first chapter analyzed the research background and significance of thisproject,researched how to design slider blacks of press mechanical,part family modeling andvariants design.The technology of the secondary development of UG,parameterization designand so on,thereby gived the research content and organization composition of this thesis.The second chapter combined with the existing production experience,summed up threemethods to design of the slider parts,analyzed the main design principles and designfoundation of each part,thus got the design formulas and the corresponding drawings and thecodename of dimensions.The third chapter reasearched about the base model of slider part family and associateddriven design.Used the formulas from previous chapter, the idea of parameterizationdesign,abstract the main related parameters,added reasonable expressions in UGsoftware.And established the basic model,used the secondary development tools of UG/Opento design menu,tool bars and user interface of part family system,by means of APIprogramming to read the expressions and update the model.The fourth chapter stored the existing data information of JH21series slider parts inGuangdong metal forming machine works Co.,LTD.On the base of MFC,build two layers ofCS structure,using the ODBC data source for reading the database informations.The fifth chapter introduced the method to apply the part family system of slider andshowed the result of running.The final result proved that this system can satisfied the demandof slider design.Finally, summarized the research content and achievement of this paper.Even pointedout the insufficient part and the direction of further research.
