The Reverse-engineering is important mean in the automobile body and the sparepart development. We can avoid the complicate manual operation and reduce theproduct development cycle by the method of Reverse Design. Compare with thetraditional serious design there are lots of advantages by the method of reverse design.But the existing curve、surface reverse tool in connect with concrete curve andsurface only can reverse the single curve or surface. But here are relation betweenthese curves and surfaces of the spare part development and others. The curves andsurfaces which are reversed by the single curve, surface reverse tool can’t contentwith the demands of the engineering. So when the engineers reverse the curve orsurface only by the single reverse tool, he need to adjustments the curves and surfacesbased on comprehensive consideration of the various factors in the later in order tomake the curves and surfaces content with the demands of the engineeringThis paper discusses optimization technique is applied in the reverse process ofthe automobile body and auto parts,and to various internal、external association andrequirement into design constraints,then structure the parameterization model, andget the counters of the departments by the method of optimization. Theparameterization model contents with the demands of the engineering, meanwhile,this is very beneficial for the editor to modify in the later.This Paper was based on the Platform of Siemens NX. Siemens NX is a popularCAD software which specializes in many applications,such as design, analysis,simulation and so on. Comparing with the other CAD software just like CATIA,Siemens NX has a better interface, so when we use the Siemens NX to do thesecondary development, we can get more functions and do more powerful things. Inthis paper, we carry out the reverse design for auto parts based on optimization byusing the optimization function and the parameterization model of the Siemens NXsoftware. This method fusions the parameterization design and the optimizationfunction of Siemens NX together by using secondary development in Siemens NXplatformThe main contents of this paper: in this paper, we introduce the reverse designfor auto parts based on parameterization by the example that how to get the holes onthe auto parts. When we create the model by the parameterization method, we can addthe geometric constraints to the model, and show these constraints by parameter. Then wecan get this parameter by the method of optimization, to keep the result can satisfied therequest on construction. And, when for the parameterization design, if we change oneparameter, the whole model will change, so that we can modify the model easier.The reverse design for based on parameterization plays an important role in theautomobile body and the spare part development. This method can decrease themanual operate in the traditional design, and make the engineer can spend more time indesign. Therefore, the efficiency of design is enhanced greatly, and the time ofautomobile-body-developing is decreased.
