Buoy boat is an important boat to maintain Yangtze River waterway navigation,and the normal and safe operation of buoy boat is important for the construction of theYangtze River waterway. The operating status parameters of the main electromechanicalequipment are the important basis to understand the current operating status of buoyboat. Anti the lack of a unified buoy boat equipment condition monitoring system, thispaper studied a online and remote monitoring system of operating status of the mainelectromechanical equipment of buoy boat. And designed a online and remotemonitoring system based on LabVIEW and MySQL database, achieved the real-timeonline and remote monitoring of the operating parameters of the host engines, generator,steering gear and the tail shaft, etc. The main research contents and results of this paperincluding:①The functional requirements of the system and parameters needed to bemonitored were analyzed, and the overall program of the online and remote monitoringsystem of buoy boat’s main electromechanical equipment was designed. The systemconsisted of two parts: onboard online monitoring system and data center.②The actual scene of a buoy boat from the Yangtze River Waterway Bureau wasanalyzed, and the hardware structure of the onboard online monitoring system wasdesigned, the types of sensors and signal acquisition modules were selected. Themonitoring of the exhaust temperature of left and right host engines, the rotational speedof the tail shaft, and the pressure of steering gear, etc. was achieved. And also, theRS485bus and the Modbus communication protocol used by the control boxes of leftand right host engines and the CAN bus and the J1939communication protocol used bygenerator monitor were analyzed, and the data reading and parsing program wasdesigned according to the protocols to achieve the monitoring of the rotational speed,coolant temperature, oil pressure and fault alarm parameters, etc. of left and right hostengines, and the AC voltage, AC frequency, etc. of generator.③Monitoring parameters was stored, and historical data query function wasachieved through MySQL database. And an expert knowledge base of diesel enginefault information of left and right host engines, and fault information can be inputtedand queried.④The operating parameters of the main equipment monitored were sent to the remote data center by the onboard online monitoring system through China UnicomGPRS network by using DTU. The remote monitoring of the operating parameters ofthe main mechanical and electrical equipment was achieved.The system studied in this paper was installed in a buoy boat from ChongqingYangtze River Waterway Bureau, and the hardware and the software of the on-linemonitoring system were running reliably. The data was received by remote data centerstably. The system meets the actual requirements fully.
