A Physiological Parameters Monitoring System Based On ZigBee

In recent years,computer and communication technology are developing rapidly topromote and innovate a variety of technology used in all aspects of life flexiblely,they cannot only bring great convenience to people,but also provide bigger space of imaginationand more possibilities for the combination of technology and human.As a new model ofmedical service which across modern medical science,computer science andcommunication engineering emerging in these years,the Telemedicine applied all kinds ofadvanced science technology to medical field.It try to ensure the health of people throughtake control of various deseases by understand body condition without delay. Monitoring isan important part of Telemedicine,it can be defined as technology which can transmit thephysiological parameter information and medical signal from the distance to the monitoringcenter for analysis,and give the diagnosis of views by communication.As a kind of shortdistance wireless technology,ZigBee has a lot of advantages of low power,low cost,low rateetc,the wireless sensor network technology based on ZigBee has been more and morewidely used in the fields of military,environment,large industrial park and safetymonitoring.Based on the background above,this paper has sdudied about the developmentderection and application background of monitoring system and related technology inTelemedicine,then according to the existing system characteristics and medicalneeds,designed and implemented a physiological parameter monitoring system based onZigBee.This system mainly includes two parts of data transmission system and monitoringsystem.The data transmission system is used to transmit the collected physiologicalparameter data of body temperature,heart rate,blood pressure by setting the ZigBeecoordinator and terminal node.The monitoring system is an application software based onthe Android platform,it is using the SQLite database to achieve the goal ofadding,viewing,modifying and deleting all the information to monitor the patient’scondition by design the operation interface reasonablely to improve the function of system.The design and implementation of the monitoring system,not only can reduce theamount of labor of medical staff in hospical nursing station to improve their work efficiency,but also offer the possibility of practical significance about becoming aapplication tools used by the patient’s family or used for personal health management in thefuture.
