High speed digital signal processing system and its internal data exchange typicallyrequires a high data transfer speed. It’s used in communications, radar, sonar, remotesensing, image processing and graphics embedded voice processing system, the type of datatransfer bus architecture type of storage media and systems put forward higherrequirements. Rely solely on improving the performance of a single processor to achievereal-time computing and high-volume data processing has become increasingly difficult,the use of multi-processor computing system is an effective way to improve the ability touse technology to achieve high-speed bus interconnect different devices,"fast" dataexchange between the boards and systems.This paper aims to study the application of embedded system interconnect high-speedserial bus technology. First it introduces RapidIO and HyperLink interconnect technologyand shows the characteristics of the two bus interconnect technology, while, respectively,from the architecture, SerDes macros, operating mode, flow control, interrupt management,comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of both.Then, it designed multiple DSPs high-speed data exchange systems based on TI’shigh-end DSP TMS320C6455and TMS320C6678, systems using serial RapidIO (SRIO)and HyperLink peripheral modules to achieve high-speed data exchange betweenprocessors. Mainly from the overall structure, communication module (SRIO, HyperLink)of the system description of the performance and the PCB design.Finally, on multiple DSPs board-level high-speed data exchange system test platform,namely the use of SRIO and HyperLink as an inter-processor data communication linkconnection performance testing, from the transmission rate, throughput, managementmechanisms, interruption to carry out control functional verification, detailed discussionand analysis of the resulting data, the performance index of a series of high-speed serial busapplications, and design. In engineering practice, through the flexible use of peripheralmodules support functions, the development of targeted mission solutions.
