The current problem of domestic water supply pipeline leakage has occurred from timeto time, which caused a serious waste of water resources, but the traditional method of watersupply pipeline leakage detection is still mainly rely on manual judgment, which is poor inefficiency and reliability. According to this phenomenon, this paper designs a dual processorsystem(DSP and MCU, the specific models of MCU is Rabbit3000)of water supply pipelineleakage detection and location based on TMS320VC5402.The system is divided into master-slave machine. When it is detecting, the mastermachine filter the leakage vibration signal of water supply pipeline collected by thepiezoelectric acceleration sensor through a FIR bandpass filter, then use the method ofimproved periodogram to estimate its power spectrum, Finally, determine whether there is aleakage of water supply pipeline based on the results of the power spectrum estimation. Ifthere is a leakage of water supply pipeline, the slave machine will transmit the leakagevibration signal of water supply pipeline collected by it to the master machine wirelesslythrough the module of Xbee, and the master machine will calculate the cross-correlationoperation results and the value of time delay, Finally, the specific location of water supplypipeline leakage point is obtained by putting the value of time delay into the formula.The entire system is made up of DSP data processing minimum system, MCU module,man-machine interface module, data acquisition module, power module, wirelesscommunication module of XBEE, RS232interface module, GPRS module and upper monitormodule. The DSP data processing minimum system is responsible for executing the corealgorithm of digital signal processing to the leakage vibration signal of water supply pipeline;The MCU is responsible for the running control of the system’s every functional module; Theman-machine interface module is responsible for the input of keyboard and the output ofscreen; The RS232interface module is responsible for the cable data transmission betweensystem and upper monitor. The GPRS module is responsible for the wireless communicationbetween system and upper monitor. The upper monitor is responsible for remote control anddata transmission.After simulation test and field test of real-time water supply pipeline leakage, the resultsshow that, the system can detecting and locating the water supply pipeline leakage pointquickly and correctly, which has a high practicability and reference value.
