With the development of hydrogen economy, the application of hydrogen has been expanding to every field of human society, which has added new contents and more strict standards to the hydrogen safety. Hydrogen leakage detection is one of the main content of hydrogen safety. Due to its hydrogen sensors, conventional detection systems have innate weakness in selectivity, sensitivity and robust etc, and are hard to improve their performance to meet the need of hydrogen application. But sensors array and wireless sensor networks provide a novel solving method for the hydrogen detection.Based on the introduction of sensors array and wireless sensor network, the key technologies of hydrogen detection and location were researched. The main contents of this thesis include:(1) The principles and characteristics of almost all kinds of hydrogen sensors are introduced firstly. Then, the present status of researches on sensors array and wireless sensor network are surveyed.(2) After the analysis of sensors characteristics, the frame of hydrogen detection system based on single MOS hydrogen sensor is designed. A series of tests are carried out, and data processing is taken on the result data of these experimentations.(3) The sensors array and wireless sensor network are introduced to improve the property of the single sensor hydrogen detection system. The design process of the sensors array is introduced in detail. Based on the WSN development platform and combined with the characteristic of hydrogen leakage, a kind of WSN node is designed.(4) Based on the analysis of the characteristics of sensors array's signal, signal processing methods, including temperature & humidity compensation, stable value prognosation, signal adjustion, are induced in detail.(5) The WSN based on the ZigBee protocol is constructed, and the location methods of WSN are introduced and compared. Based on the hydrogen numerical diffusing model, the regression using SVR and math model are introduced. A location method using ANN to locate the leakage source is also introduced.The validation results showed that hydrogen detection system based on single sensor is efficient for its simple structure and reliable performance. The sensors array and WSN is a new solving way for hydrogen detection system, and provide a possibility for leakage location.
