Study On Huang Tianpeng And The China Times Literary Supplement Qing Guang

Huang Tianpeng is a famous scholar and brilliant activist of modern journalism,who had played an important role and great influence in the history of Chinesejournalism. One of the characteristics of his news thought is the obvious practicality,and editing the Qing Guang of the China Times Literary Supplements is one of themain components of his news practice. This paper attempts to explore a systematicresearch of Qing Guang during the Huang Tianpeng editing period to interpret hisediting and publishing thought by studying the existing Qing Guang supplement andthe relevant material and documents. This paper will present Huang Tianpeng’s wholenews activities and the general situation of Qing Guang development, then focus onstudying the Qing Guang supplement during the Huang Tianpeng editing periodthrough the content, the author group and the editing idea analysis.The research found that Qing Guang became a progressing literary supplementwith new idea, rich subject matters and and lively form, and be altered a new editingidea in Huang Tianpeng’s effort from1931to1934. During the Huang Tianpengediting period, Qing Guang satisfied the demand of the popular and provided a goodplatform for the literary development. In addition, it played an important role inpublicity guiding from1931to1932at the time of national crisis.
