Security machine is the main equipment ensuring public safety, which airport,railway station, bus station and other public places largely demand. Higherrequirements for public safety, especially for inspection speed, are put forward forX-ray image acquisition and transmission system. The work designed a system toachieve X-ray image data acquisition and data communication, which was based onX-ray imaging technology and took FPGA as main control chip, enhancing securitymachine’s real-time performance.The work is divided into four sessions. The first session expounds X-rayimaging principle and designs overall architecture of security machine. The secondsession refers to hardware design of X-ray image acquisition and transmissionsystem, it consisting of detector module, signal filter and amplification circuit,high-speed AD converter circuit, FPGA and peripheral circuit, high-speedtransmission interface circuit, power supply design and so on. The third sessionrefers to software design of X-ray image acquisition and transmission system. Byusing ISE serial software to design FPGA program, system’s timing and logiccontrol function is achieved, and fast acquisition of image data, pre-process andtransmission is completed. The last session tests various functions of system,verifying that system is practical.Test results showed that this system, which is reliable and practical, can meetreal-time requirements of security machine image acquisition and transmission.
