With the sustainable development and wide application of information technology,more and more communication rooms or sites are building. But for the borderline of ourcountry, most of frontier forces’ communication rooms are unattended operation andlack of effective monitoring, due to the reasons of environment and costing. Even forthe good sites’ condition, it also adopts the traditional monitoring mode, which will costmuch the time and costing. It is well-known that communication rooms must not occurany problems or malfunctions because they are often as hub and core in communicationlink. However, the fact about environmental factors, such as, temperature, humidity,water invasion, struck by lightning and artificial destruction will bring great harm forborder communication command, even influence border security. Therefore, it isnecessary adopt new methods and techniques to solve the borders of communicationrooms’ problem existing in the environmental monitoring and improve the workefficiency.Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has brought a possible for the environmentalmonitoring in communication room. WSN integrates sensor technology, embeddedtechnology, distributed information processing technology, wireless communication,and modern network technology, through tiny sensor nodes, network, and the form ofself-organizing, which will percept and gather of all kinds of information using wirelessdata transmission to the user terminal to realize the effective remote monitoring. WSNhas some characteristics, such as, automatic network, wide distribution, highredundancy and unbalanced traffic, topology changes and the limited ability of node in aremote unattended communication rooms, and is not realistic to added battery power ofnodes frequently. Therefore, adopting a reasonable data fusion algorithm, enhancing thedata collection accuracy, improving the efficiency of data collection and prolonging thenetwork life cycle become the research focus.Based on the research background and purpose on the application for wirelesssensor network in the fact environment of communication rooms, this paper analysesthe present situation and the insufficiency of present environmental monitoring in detailand proposes the system design for the wireless sensor network. In order to solve theenergy and efficiency problems of wireless sensor network system, several kinds of datafusion algorithms have been analyzed and compared and data fusion tree routing protocol is improved. Through the development the WSN prototype system whichconsisted of30sensor nodes, relay nodes and gateway nodes, we can implement ofenvironmental parameters real-time perception, transmission and inquiry. On the basisof constructing the prototype system, we also design the monitoring system platformand database schema. Finally, to verify the design effect, through the repeatedsimulations and field tests, the data results show that the optimized data fusion treerouting protocol algorithm can effectively solve the insufficient of WSN system, meetthe design requirements and achieve the desired effect.
