In the construction of information technology, the computer room is the basis of the data center, and the computer room environment and environmental equipment is important for the data center and the information system. Based on the computer communication technology, database technology and new sensor technology, this thesis presents a set of computer room environment monitoring system. This design can monitor the campus network room air conditioning, UPS power supply, indoor temperature and humidity, water leakage, air conditioning compressor temperature and other environmental things of our university.This thesis presents the design and the implementation of computer room environment monitoring system, and it is based on computer serial communication technology. Based on the analysis of system requirement, design of system architecture, the main work is done as follows: We have built the hardware system of the monitoring mainframe, the indoor temperature and humidity monitoring subsystem, the compressor temperature monitoring subsystem, the air conditioning 1 monitoring subsystem, the air conditioning 2 monitoring subsystem, the UPS power supply monitoring subsystem and the GSM MODEM SMS subsystem; We have created the ACCESS database for system parameters and data storage; We have established the multithreading based data acquisition, data processing and data exception alarm module; By using VB, we have programed the system management software, included data browsing, data curve browsing, system parameter setting and user management function moudles. By using.net, this thesis presents the WEB monitoring page, which can be used to achieve real-time remote monitoring data.In this thesis, the function and performance of the system are tested, and the consistency of the design scheme is verified. This can guarantee the computer room with less or no person on duty, and makes the computer room environment and environmental equipment real-time monitored for all day without being interrupted. With human nature of the operation management interface, user can obstain real-time, accurate and effective environmental data. The early alarm and alarm function can ensure the safe and stable working of the engine room. At the end of this thesis, the shortcomings of the system and the further works have been proposed.
