With the development of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) technology, the study hotspot has already changed from researching on WSN key technology to exploring the potential application of WSN. This thesis supposes to apply WSN to Relic Protection territory. Based on analyzing the shortage of traditional environmental monitoring in Solid Relic Protection, taking advantages of WSN to address the problem has been found. In order to resolve data collecting problem in WSN application, we designed a modular network layer, PDHP routing protocol and D2CPR data forwarding protocol.This thesis firstly introduces WSN's background knowledge, specially its system structure, and analyzes the problems we encountered in traditional environment monitoring in Relic Protection, and how to using the advantages of WSN to resolve these situations.Secondly, it gives the summary and analysis for present applying WSN at relic protection territory, brings forward proper WSN requirements suitable for relic protection and the WSN protocol stack is discussed in detail. In our prototype system design, a modular network layer for WSN has been introduced, which includes Router and Forwarder. We explicitly define these two modules functions and interactive communication process as well.Thirdly, we design the pre-deployment Energy-Efficient hierarchy Routing protocol (PDHP) for Router module. In the PDHP, The monitoring field is divided into small areas, the sensor nodes in the same area construct the cluster structure, cluster head is responsible for collecting data in its area, and through multiple-hop connection forward data to sink point.In addition, we design the D2CPR data forwarding protocol for Forwarder module. In the D2CPR, we consider the hop-by-hop retransmission and distributed congestion control in our design, and in order to reduce the energy consumption, we adjust the transmit power by getting topology information from Router module,Finally, based on the NS2 simulation results, we cooperated with researcher of Relic Protection, and deployed our WSN application on Xi'an HanGuangMen museum collecting temperature, humidity, Microseism condition.etc. Our system worked well over the past months, collected the solid relics micro-environment data automatically and effectively.
