In the21st century, tremendous competitive pressure drew the journal publishingindustry into the group development era. Based on the globalization of publishingindustry, several world-famous publication groups crossed the national boundariesand regional marketing regions and become competitive publication groups withoutborders, which continuously promoted internationalized process of Chinese’spublishing industry. Both developed countries and the third-world countries, journalpublishing marketing concept has been gradually improved, substantially improvedthe literature communication and economic benefits. The Chinese scientific journalspublishing industry is a small alternative media which belongs to cultural industry andscientific industry. The group development in Chinese scientific journal’s publishingindustry has not yet study. Due to the history of Chinese planned economy, Chinesescientific journal’s publishing industry developed in a relatively closed and fewercompetitive environment. The Chinese scientific journal’s publishing industry hasbeen in less pressure from the open-market competition.In this study,we analyzed a scientific journal(English and Chinese editions ofInternational Journal of Stroke) marketing strategy by collecting the reader’squestionnaires to illustrate the existing problems in the Chinese scientific journalspublishing marketing strategies and provide suggestions for the marketing reforms.This study consists of three parts, in the1st part includes the background, researchpurpose and methods(in the1st&2nd chapter); in the2nd part, we analyzed themarketing strategy of the International Journal of Stroke; in the last part, weillustrate the existing problems in the Chinese scientific journals publishing marketingstrategies and provide suggestions for the marketing reform.
