Dunhuang praying texts,a form of literary, are very popular in Dunhuang, which bless forpeople to remove the disaster and embody human’s best wishes. The Collection of PrayingTexts from Dunhuang Manuscripts is the first compile of Dunhuang praying texts, which is agroundbreaking achievement and draws scholars’ attention constantly. The Collection ofPraying Texts from Dunhuang Manuscripts provides plenty of materials for researchers.Scholars of the past make many emendations, based on those articles try to solve twoaspects:The first part is text emendations，proceeding with collate manuscripts, revises theproblems of recorded by mistake, lack of record and uncorrected errors. Combined withChinese writing habits and the evolution of the glyph rule, it is to interprete knotty Chinesecharacters and folk characters.we use the dunhuang chart color to identify the characters thatis not very clear. The second part of this article is the explanation of literary quotations.Influenced by the six dynasties PianTi, there are a lot of literary quotations. For these wordsof literary quotation, we try to find out the origins. The quotations of Dunhuang Praying textscan be divided into two kinds: one is from Buddhist and Taoism’s literature, the another one isfrom Chinese classical literature. Through the two aspects, we hope it is helpful for the furtherarrangement and research.
