At present, along with rapid growth in the number of family cars, theparking problem has already become the main reason for the trafficcongestion, which is also a factor restricting urban development. Microelectro mechanical system, radio frequency communication and networktechnology continues to promote the development of wireless sensor nodes tothe direction of miniaturization, intelligence and multi-function, wirelesssensor network has a broad development space and a great value. Therefore, itis a valuable research direction to import wireless sensor networks and themagneto resistive sensor detection technology into the design andimplementation of parking detection system.In this thesis, around requirement of parking detection system, manykinds of detection methods are analyzed, and the problems of these methodsare also discussed. According to parking detection features, hardware ofparking detection nodes are designed, the detection nodes are based onmagneto resistive sensor and RF communications technology. The main work includes chip selection、 schematic and printed circuit board design、communications protocol design, RF and power circuit debugging. Theprinciple and algorithm of vehicles detection are analyzed, and the detectionproblems need to be considered in the design is concluded. A new detectionalgorithm based on magneto resistive sensor is designed, which meets parkingdetection requirements in complex environments.Fully considering parking data collection features, a suitable sensornetwork topology is selected, and a new multipath routing protocol isdesigned on the basis of traditional destination sequenced distance vectorrouting protocol. When selecting the router path, the shortest path and the bestchannel criteria are mixed used, multipath independent transmission mode isalso used. Practical tests have shown that the new wireless network protocolcan make better use of network resources and significantly increase thenetwork throughput.The parking detection system aims to check occupation and idle state ofparking lots. Information displays are installed at the parking entrance, theidle and occupancy parking lots can be dynamically displayed. Many displaysare also installed at cross area. The parking state can automatically be updated.The detectors are installed on each parking lot, which detects parking state inreal time and sends the state packet to the router. The sink gateway automatically calculates the idle and the occupied lots number by collectingdata packets of routers, then refreshes display information in real time. Thisparking detection system is more convenient and standardized, which canimprove parking usage greatly.This parking detection system indicates that detection accuracy is morethan99%, data transmission delay is less than5s, effective distance ofdetector is more than220m, which meets the DB11/T667-2009parkingguidance system standard. It is the best for parking management.
