The rapid development of information technology not only affects the value,goal and content of mathematics education,but also influences the way of learning and teaching.In view of the global wave of the integration of IT into the teaching,how to make it play a positive role in senior high school mathematics curriculum has become the core problem. This paper aims to design the teaching cases combining the Geometer’s Sketchpad and mathematics knowledge in high school based on the teaching software of the Geometer’s Sketchpad. Through case study, students’ problems in learning mathematics would get solved and their way of learning changed.Also,the findings of this research are expected to provide suggestions and guidance to the teaching of Geometer’s Sketchpad.Chapter one reviews the research status home and abroad.Chapter two mainly introduces the theory of integration of geometry sketchpad and high school mathematics curriculum as well as the concrete application in teaching. Chapter three presents the questionnaire and interview on the current situation of geometry drawing board to use. Chapter four describes the design of teaching cases and analyzes the results of the teaching experiments.Chapter five presents the resultsof the experiment and makes comparison.The results suggest that the teaching of Geometer’s Sketchpad in mathematics class not only helps students understand and memorize key knowledge,overcome their learning difficulty and cultivate students’ interest in learning and exploring ability.The implications for future successful application of Geometer’s Sketchpad are that firstly teachers’ ability to use the geometry sketchpad teaching shoud get improved;secondly cultivating students’ consciousness and ability to use the geometric sketchpad should get emphasized.
