Research On The Efficiency Applicantion Of The Geometer’s Sketchpad In Middle School Mathematics Teaching

With the background of information technology and curriculum integration, how to use information technology to improve the effectiveness of high school mathematics becomes the urgent problem of the majority of mathematics teachers. Because of having capabilities of the precise calculating. graphics and animation etc, and suitable for teaching, thus the Geometer’s Sketchpad causes educators’ attention. From the theoretical analysis and practical experience, This article proposed effective ways and principles about the application of the Geometer’s Sketchpad to better use it in middle school mathematics classroom.Firstly, according to the theory of mathematics teaching the author put forward to the idea of effective applications about the Geometer’s Sketchpad; in the second, according to the difficulty of mathematics teaching and the geometric characteristics, the author presents an effective entry point for the application; thirdly, through interviews and literature survey the author summarizes the current application status and problems in middle school mathematics teaching about the Geometer’s Sketchpad; at the same time, through comparative study the author focuses on the importance of the Geometer’s Sketchpad in middle school classroom teaching-to improve classroom efficiency; fourth, through the study of Lesson, analyze the advantages in the use of the Geometer’s Sketchpad, and through a survey of cases by teaching effectiveness, sum up the role of the Geometer’s Sketchpad in middle school mathematics classroom teaching. Finally, summarize the principles of the effective application about the Geometer’s Sketchpad in middle school mathematics teaching to guide mathematics teaching practice.
