Mathematics is a logic subject with professional factors. As a math teacher, besidesharboring solid deep professional knowledge, he or she should as well as gain the skillsof profession in math space, calculating, numbers, induction and deduction, andreasoning. Traditional teaching method is not suitable to face with information erachallenges. At the same time, in the reform of new curriculum, due to the increasinglyopen and free class, teaching process is fully surrounded with variable and uncertainty.Therefore, teachers must need the ability and wisdom to control dynamic courseteaching. For this reason, in the context of new curriculum reform, it is a common andurgent problem for the mathematic teachers that how to make full use of informationtechnology, and let it become a powerful tool for junior middle school learning andstudying. Among many math tools in common use, geometry sketchpad has manycharacteristics which are dynamic demonstration of interaction, accurate drawing,precise calculation, and it can better optimize math class of junior middle school.Through the comparison research of typical cases, this paper analyses advantages andshortcomings of geometry sketchpad, summarizes some superiority in junior middleschool math class in effective application form of small courseware, integrable ware,and dynamic blackboard.This study puts theory to practice, advances a theory of optimizing junior middleschool math teaching with geometry sketchpad via the summary of math-teachingassisted with geometry sketchpad inland and abroad. It also analyses its basal theorywhich is constructivism teaching theory and audio-visual teaching theory, and I havedone the research and analysis in my working-school about current situation of teachersteaching with media tools. In practical teaching, I conclude and design some typicalpractical teaching cases, which sum up the advantages of optimizing junior middleschool math teaching with geometry sketchpad from algebra, geometry, statistics,algebra and geometry comprehensive issues. At the end of this paper, I do the researchand analysis about the effect after teaching with geometry sketchpad. The result showsthat students feel interested about teacher’s teaching with geometry sketchpad, and they can gain information more and intuitively. In a word, this method has obviously goodeffects on junior middle school math teaching.This paper aims at providing a new idea for numbers of teachers on the front thatoptimizing junior middle school math teaching with geometry sketchpad, indeed takinginformation technology into powerful tools in junior middle school math teaching,changing students’ study style so that they are willing to devote more energy intorealistic and exploratory mathematic activities.
