From the 2007 China’s basic education curriculum reform, and this year is the ninth year in high school curriculum reform. Along with the continuous deepening of high school history curriculum reform, curriculum reform to students the ability of proposed higher requirements, especially the ability of reading materials for the students. The pictures as a kind of important historical materials, along with the continuous deepening of the curriculum reform in high school history teaching, its importance is more and more prominent. Training students ability of reading has become one of the important requirements of the new curriculum reform and the college entrance examination.This paper by the Ministry of Education Examination Center <2014 in Colleges and Universities Enrollment unified national examination syllabus (liberal arts) curriculum standards experimental version> as guidance, combining the previous related research results in the foundation, combined with my own teaching practice, picture theory and practice problems in history teaching in senior high school.Pictures in history teaching in senior high school often have three categories:historical maps, photographs, drawings, paintings. Historical map is very rich, use is also very broad. Photo portraits, according to the objects and building and the like. While the painting is a comic book, publicity pictures and data and so on. In history teaching, image to a more intuitive sense stimulation, attract students interest in learning, greatly stimulated students’ learning initiative, is rich in historical teaching at the same time greatly improve students’ learning efficiency.
